How time tracking can boost your happiness (Video)

This week is Hunt For Happiness Week, encouraging us to take a closer look at what we define as happiness and what it takes to achieve a satisfying level of this personal pleasure in our lives.

While it’s not possible to be happy 100% of the time and happiness might take some effort, there are many of us who come close.

Fun fact: In 2019 the United Nations published a list of the happiest nations. The United States made it at the 19th place. Finland was the happiest country in the world for the third consecutive year.

This World Happiness Report showed that many factors play a role in happiness, and location (or temperature, thinking about Finland!) is not one of them. However, once our basic needs in life are met, it seems that we have a very hard time to feel happy, even knowing that we are the ones who control our happiness.

There are many things that you can do in order to achieve your innate happiness, such as being grateful for the people around you, for your health, your home, your job, your pets; also, taking care of your health and well-being; engaging in your favorite activities; or managing your finances in a smart way.

And then, there’s also being in control of your time, and that’s what our coach expert Sabrina Cadini focused on in this week’s video since Mana can be the best tool for this (we have the right product for you!).

There’s a very recent study that assessed the impact of time management on performance and on well-being. They found that “time management impacts wellbeing - and in particular life satisfaction - to a greater extent than performance.” This means time management may be “primarily a wellbeing enhancer, rather than a performance booster.”

Knowing how to spend your time and planning accordingly is the best thing that you can do to live and work better, and you will automatically boost your happiness. Not only that: when you’re able to meet your deadlines and accomplish your tasks or complete projects, you feel fulfilled, satisfied, and in a happier state. And when you deliver good quality work, you appear as efficient and productive - a very valuable asset to any business – and you’ll be more rewarded at work. It will be a win-win situation!

We can easily say that time management and time tracking are not only for your business, but also for your daily life – maybe they’re even more important for your daily life because then you can easily fit your work hours, and you can achieve that work-life balance – or as I say, life-work balance.

When you use Mana to track your time, you can expect two main benefits that will bring more happiness to your everyday life.

Benefit 1: Focus and productivity

You can easily track everything you do automatically thanks to our integrations: you can sync your computer, Google calendars, and health and fitness trackers like Apple Health without losing focus on what you’re doing.

Then, in the reflection screen, you can get better clarity about your schedule, identify trends and patterns, and understand when you are most productive, making changes where needed to become more efficient.

Keep watching the video to discover the second benefit of using Mana to track your time and boost your happiness. Mana is the perfect tool because you can see where your time is going, and you learn how to spend it better.
